FRAMINGHAM - The four newest members of the Framingham Fire Department are all veterans of the United States Armed Forces.

Local officials including Mayor Charlie Sisitsky and City Clerk Lisa Ferguson were present at the Memorial Building as Kyle Cash, Luke Cuneo, Jordan Porter, and Clayton Scata were sworn in to the Fire Department. Caso and Porter previously served in the U.S. Marine Corps, while Cuneo and Scala are both veterans of the Army.

The new crew of firefighters has previous ties to the community: Caso as well as Scata graduated from Framingham High School, and Porter is an alum of Framingham State University.

The four recruits will attend the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy following local in-house training, according to city officials.
