RAMINGHAM - Joseph Cecchi was recently sworn in as the new Chief of Police at Framingham State University.

Officials with the school praised Cecchi’s experiences over 15 years in law enforcement. He’s worked with the police departments in Brimfield and Princeton, while he’s also been a captain with the Quinsigamond Community College Police in Worcester.

Cecchi takes over the post from John Santoro, who stepped aside earlier this year to become the Chief of Police in Plaistow, New Hampshire.
