National Good Neighbor Day is set for Saturday, September 28. The initiative aims to connect people together through various interests, experiences, and more—especially amid growing isolation nationwide.

To commemorate the occasion, Framingham community members are working towards getting more and more people together. City officials will be hosting the inaugural Find Your People Fair at Nevins Hall on September 28. Residents will be able to meet people who participate in various activities, organizations, and volunteer groups from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. that day.

We spoke with Innessa Manning with the Massachusetts Coalition to Build Community and End Loneliness, along with the Community Manager for Dia Feliz Adult Day Health Center in Framingham Brian Dooley–a volunteer with the Coalition–to learn more about the Good Neighbor Day movement and what goes into building a sense of community.
